Apple Pie

6-8 granny smith or jonathan apples
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour (absorbs juice during cooking)
sprinkle of cinnamon
5 butter pats

  1. peel and cut apples into slices.
  2. mix apples, sugar, flour and cinnamon.
  3. set pie dough in bottom of pie dish
  4. add apple mixture to pie crust
  5. place butter pats around apples
  6. apply top crust, cutting air holes and shaping edge
  7. bake at 425 for 30-40 minutes
