While Italy delivers all the advertised attractions, it is the unexpected treats that make this place truly astonishing. I leave you with one of these enigmas, Vernazza where we concluded our tour, Italy, like this scene, is rife with unexpected wonders and grand spectacles.
A friend from overseas once conveyed to Marty that she finds America to be “a more convenient but not necessarily simpler life”. I now understand what she meant. There is a whole world out there that is not comprised of strip-malls, tract housing and all-terrain vehicles ... a world which I am thankful to have experienced.
