I kept hearing about this author, well, namely up in Michigan at my summer camp, but when it comes to fun summertime reads, this author is your go-to, can’t loose pick. It took a minute, and about thirty percent in I considered bailing on it. But then I noticed I was talking to the book, chastising the characters in it, saying things like "What! Don’t do that! You can’t do that!" or "Oh my God, don’t believe her! You’re going to wreck it." And that’s when I realized the hook got subtly set and I was done for.

And you gotta read to the end, because just when you think you got it sorted, well, I hope you wrote that in pencil because you’re going to have some erasing to do.
