CRIME FICTION
Five Decembers
by James Kestrel
Publisher Note:
This extraordinary novel is so much more than just a gripping crime story—it's a story of survival against all odds, of love and loss and the human cost of war. Spanning the entirety of World War II, Five Decembers is a beautiful, masterful, powerful novel that will live in your memory forever.
Troy Note:
Recently I have been on this run of reading older crime novels and westerns. I gotta say there is a surprising rich trove of stories in the mix there, this one being no exception. I forgot who/where pointed me to it and the title intrigued me. It was rich with unexpected turns--love those! In short, if you enjoy pulpy murder mysteries and world war II books, I reckon you'd enjoy this.
