of all the things i'm mocked for, my wardrobe may rank highest. people pick at both my choice of clothes but even more than that they pick at how few variations of those choices i wear. in reviewing recent photos i noticed how our first day of school photos for the kids this year captured my entire wardrobe.
on the left you have casual troy. i have four pair of those shorts* in three different colors (i have two of the greys, my favorite) and six of those grey adidas shirts.
in the middle you have workout troy. i have two pair of adidas shorts and two dozen white v-necks form brooks brothers, which i also wear under my work shirts.
and on the right you have working troy. i have six of those white shirts, also brooks brothers and six pairs of jCrew urban slim khakis--two blue, two grey, and two beige.
the only other thing you might catch me in is my biking kit.
and maybe ten times a year one of my two suits.
* the shorts are made by REI. if you go looking for them men, you will want to wend yourself to the other side of the store as they are a women's short--size 8. i have no idea who designs men's clothes but for the last twenty plus years, i've been able to fit both of my legs through one of the leg holes which by my albeit addled estimation, looks seven sorts of ridiculous.
also, the jean shorts bella is wearing are/were mine. i've worn cut-off jean shorts since my college days, very much to marty's chagrin. i've only abandoned them since finding the properly sized and smartly designed rei shorts—they even have a secret pocket!
