anfer has come in for his morning cuddle with marty. aleo followed closely behind. i was brought from sleep by alex sliding in between marty and i. the following represents the first words i heard on this particular day. |

MARTY (to anthony)
today alex is going on a field trip and tomorrow you are.
ANFER
where am i going?
MARTY
you're going to see the show sneetches acted out by kids.
ANFER
hey. we read sneetches in class.
MARTY
yes. and now you're going to go see a play about it.
ANFER
when i'm older do i have to act out stories?
MARTY
only if you want to.
ANFER
would i have to wear feathers?
MARTY
i don't know. it would depend on the story and the costumes.
ANFER
because i don't want to wear anything that would make me laugh or tickle. i just like naked skin.
