CAST guy i'm playing tennis with and me
SETTING a park by my house where you can go and play pick-up games of tennis. usually when i go, i'm the only white guy on the courts.
SCENE three guys have asked me to fill in a doubles game with them. i come to the net to meet them and introduce myself. the following conversation ensued with one of the guys.
TENNIS GUY
troy? that's a brother's name.

TROY
what? really?

TENNIS GUY
yeah man. i've never met a white guy named troy.

TROY
what about troy donahue?

TENNIS GUY
troy dona-who?

TROY
troy donahue. you know. the talk show dude.

TENNIS GUY
never met him.
NOTE the guy did stipulate that he never MET a white guy named troy. i should have known hearing tell of one wouldn't have counted.
