ANFER jokingly
why would they want your help?

i guess because i'm cool and sophisticated.
ANFER
no you're not.
TROY
what? what do you mean i'm not? why not?
ANFER
because people who are cool and sophisticated don't have to say they're cool and sophisticated. they just are.

while it might seem i just got toasted by my seven year old, the real fact is i'm thrilled because teaching my kids to subscribe to the "if you have to say it then it's not true" philosophy is one of my core objective in parenthood.
granted, it might be nice if my children would stop using my wicked, awesome advice against me. |
