a house!?!? what? you want to move out?
ANFER (shrugging his shoulders)
yeah. sure.
TROY
but i would miss you if you moved out?
ANFER (shrugging his shoulders)
then buy one next door.
ANFER
why do you want to move out? don't you like living here?
ANFER
it's like you say dad -- my house, my rules.

for the record, i have never said 'my house, my rules'. although in polling my kids about the phrase, according to them, it is something i say each and every day of life. thank god i'm the one recording our history. i'm a touch scared to see what things through their mind's prism might look like on paper. |
